Because “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”
Here are two images that I found on Social Media that caught my attention because of their simple yet effective way of visual communication.
Migros is not one of the most famous brands for coffee, but the fact that this imagery is well done is undeniable. This print advertisement has been created by Serdesin, Turkey for Migros, within the category of Retail Services.
It showcases the effects of coffee in a very simple way by portraying how alert one becomes after consuming a cup of coffee.
The image could use a caption like:
“Open your eyes with a cup of coffee!” OR “Let the energy awaken with Migros Coffee.”
However, the message can easily be conveyed via the image even without a caption, which makes it brilliant.
This image appeals to the target audience, which in this case is the working class who wake up in the morning and need to activate their minds by depending on this beverage to be attentive the entire day. It also demonstrates that the brand understands the challenges of the working class and this type of alignment increases brand trust.
Coca-Cola comes up with fantastic minimalistic ads all the time. They consistently use the brand colors– red and white, that are recognizable worldwide.
This is an ad that shows how Coca-Cola has become a beverage that goes hand in hand with any meal. It is an image to tempt people to have a coke along with any choice of food.
The broad use of cutlery makes the target audience versatile and could cater to any event, group or atmosphere (restaurants, home) to carry out the message that an individual can or should supplement this drink with their meals.
The way it brings across the message without having any written context is admirable. It is very simple, smartly created and undoubtedly well designed.
